Pasta was most likely invented by the Arabs. A certain select few dishes were borrowed into China, and a certain dish (memory escapes me) has the actual Arabic word. They took back the idea of dough when introduced to it via Arabic cuisine. So most probably, and oh yes- they (the Arabs) introduced it to southern Italy, Sicily. So pasta , was made famous by them there. A little known face, though readily available if you read thoroughly, and search for that matter.

The Europeans probably chose to refine the grains even more, resulting in semolina. The middle eastern diaspora in the Arab and African regions prefer couscous and such a more rough , and less grind of grain, which probably is more healthy too. White rice is rice milled of the bran, germ, and other nutrients and then polished to look pretty white. It has no nutritional value. There are more than several types of rice, but parboiled is probably the best besides brown and wild rice. Parboiled has about 80% of the nutrients in brown rice. This is because they use steam to break the hull of the rice, making the nutrients absorb into the next layer instead of being washed out. The best though, is to eat wheat. Unusual types of wheat, or pearl millet and barley which are not what, but different grasses have more nutritional value than rice alone. Durum is the most popular, but the 'Atta' flour used for making chapatis and such, have the whole wheat meaning the whole wheat in tact - the bran, germ, ..

Oh yeah the word for noodle, was derived from Arabic. Both by Chinese & Europeans. They were introduced to it in the Middle East.

The word for Boogie Man comes from an Indonesian language. Apparently, in the earlier parts of European exploration of their primitive culture ( Europeans are for the most part descendants of Barbarians), they were man-handled by these pirates in the waters off the Indonesian archipelago coasts , and the Dutch - early explorers , warned their children at night of mischievous conduct by saying the Boogie Men would come after them.

Jewish leaders have met to discuss this arab problem and limiting their birh count. But the state of Israel was found mainly because Britain which encouraged a Greater Syria and their desire to limit Jewish ambition, had opposition from the US and France which resented British presence growing , and the state of Israel was created.

I'd grab krotch for that, and in the gesture , do so. A fine, addition , don't you think?
